VFORM Studio presented its interpretation of Venetian palazzo architecture in the interiors of apartments in the Brodsky residential complex.
The exterior of the residential complex is inspired by the architecture of Venice. This served as the starting point for reworking the existing standard interior, searching for its unique feel and a harmony of beauty and comfort. Classic Venetian interiors—light, gold, stone, textiles, and art—are combined with current decor trends. A warm beige palette, interspersed with vibrant color accents, supports the style.
Glints of Venetian gold come to life in brass panels, the petals of a glass chandelier floating above the space, and the furniture. Brass frames on the opposite walls of the kitchen-living room fill the space with a special glow, emphasizing the solemnity of the overall axial composition.
The central element of the living room is a hand-blown glass chandelier, each petal crafted using the bent-glass technique from clear glass with gilding, a homage to the virtuoso works of Murano masters.
The sophisticated interpretation of Venetian gold continues in the master bedroom – a three-dimensional brass “curtain” panel contrasts yet effectively complements the roughly hewn marble. Light plays differently on the curved surface depending on the time of day, inviting relaxation and tranquil contemplation.
Experimentation with natural stone, its textures, and various finishes added visual complexity to the interior. For example, the Silk Georgette marble in the living area, with its veining, resembles silk fabric. To add depth and create additional play of light and shadow, it was milled according to the studio’s design, reminiscent of the fluting of antique columns.
